The NOW *yikes*

So I promised that on the 4th of July I would post up the before pictures and measurements.

Ya...

It has taken a lot of strength to even take the pictures, let alone measurements and THEN post them up for everyone to see.  But my AMAZING husband, Duff, said he would let me post up his information as well and we would do this together.  This journey wouldn't be just me, it would be us.  (Can I say I love this man?!)

So here I am:

Ugh.....  This is bad.  My biggest was 270lbs when pregnant with my daughter.  This is after 2 kids.  Here are my measurements:

Weight: 227lbs
Height: 5'9"
Waist @ narrowest: 43"
Waist @ naval: 46"
Thigh: 26"
Hip: 49"
Neck: 14"
Bicep: 14"
Forearm: 10"
Wrist: 6"

This puts my Body Mass Index (BMI) at 33.5 and a safe BMI for women is 18 - 24.5.  And according to the Navy Body Fat Percentage Measurements I have a body fat percentage of 51%.  (The average body fat percentage for U.S. females is around 32%, with the ideal at 22%.)

And here is my awesome husband!

Here are his measurements:
Weight: 198 lbs
Height: 5'6"
Waist @ narrowest: 38"
Waist @ naval: 41"
Thigh: 24"
Hip: 42"
Neck: 15"
Bicep: 12"
Forearm: 11"
Wrist: 6"

This puts his Body Mass Index (BMI) at 32 and a safe BMI for men is 18 - 24.5.  According to the Navy Body Fat Percentage Measurements he has a body fat percentage of 31%.  (The average body fat percentage for U.S. males is around 23%, with the ideal at 15%.)

So here we are.  The two of us, as of July 7, 2014.  Both overweight and needing an overhaul.

Today started our first workout together.  We did Shaun T.'s Hip Hop Ab's Total Body Burn.  Duff made fun of it the entire time and then asked if I wanted to do a real workout.  I just glared...  I was a sweaty mess, our daughter was wanting up from her nap, and the baby was crying.  No, no I do not want to do another workout.

Tomorrow morning we are going to walk/run with the kids in the joggers and then tomorrow night I have kickboxing.
